Awesome! Sounds like the perfect lifestyle for you two. And best of all you'll be right here in Kyoto each year. I'll have to show you some nice hikes in the hills north of the city....

Of course, this is a no brainer.

An explanation for this human behavior can found in Skinner's discovery of operant conditioning.

I see it as a natural cycle - you go on a rant, upset some friends, then both parties tend to review their own reaction from the other's point of view. Most of the time I think both sides end up with a stronger, better-considered perspective and the friendship can be revived unharmed on more familiar terrain.

Hi AJ,

I totally agree with you, nowadays in the shop is selling a lot of unhealthy food which is made from unnatural products.Especially cheap food is very unhealthy who has a lot of harmful material. All this junk food make people fat and for this reason starts new diseases because of bad nutrition.
I saw from TV how is growing chicken and pigs in the plant,I was shocked they grew up just over several weeks especially chickens because they were feed with material who stimulate to grow up very fast. It's chemistry.
In my opinion if we want to eat really healthy food like vegetables or fruit we need to grow up ourselves, because then we know what is composition of our food and we can be sure that we eat healthy food :)

This sounds (almost?) like exaggeration to me.
Being social, to feel comfortable (instead of stressed, to various degrees) around people, to meet and to make friends is definitely a problem for me.
Even though I lived to realise my dreams, I didn't meet anybody with whom I was compatible enough to become good long term friends.
I wonder whether this is just my unusual (genetic) make-up, trait, or whether this can- and needs to be treated.

I wonder whether people prefer consumerism to human relationships, because they feel more estranged, the more independent from each other and individualised they become.
increasingly large crowds, resp. overpopulation likely plays a part in this too.
On the other hand, its need (whatever sort of) that binds people together.

It seems nowadays, its comfort that is at the bottom of motivation.
As people need to change voluntarily, they need to get to know new practices and routines with which they feel comfortable with.
Apparently most people need a crisis to escape the trap of consumerism.

But how did you find/meet your friends, by pure coincidence?

Not that I would want to advocate eating meat, but for those who don't quit it (yet):
Reportedly, the meat of an animal which was living wild, with plenty of movement, fresh air, sunlight and on its own choice of varied fodder, is very different and a lot healthier than that from conventional factory farming.
It is also much more valuable to eat not just muscle meat, but all palatable parts of the whole corpse (including bone marrow).

I was and still am the same as you as far as cravings for sweets go - unless I have a big fruit and nut salad in the morning. I'm adding an oilseed (flax seed etc.) shake (aka seed milk), as these are extremely laborious to chew sufficiently.
You mention rice protein. Do you have any thoughts on creatine?

...(I was just reading the comments above) ...And I'm wondering if I will ever get a reply to my comments...

Cheerios!

BTW, reportedly digestion (and the absorption of nutrients) starts in the mouth, with saliva, while chewing.
Thus drinking juices is probably not the healthiest choice - technically speaking they're not really whole food.
Our digestive system must be better adapted to do its job with the fibers included.
Luckily I enjoy eating fruit- and veggie salads more than drinking juices.

Sounds like there's a lot of juicy shaking going on :-)
Not many fruits listed though...(?)
Raw food for dinner can be difficult to digest - but it may depend on the time of intake.
Did you mention your blender model?

This is the first time I heard of such a threshold.
What do you eat and drink in addition to raw fruits and vegetables?

BTW, is it possible to be notified by e-mail when an answer or comment is posted here?
