However, the older you are and the general realities of American society the less likely, in general, you are to receive invitations to visit or "crash" at other's homes. If you are a decent person, trustworthy and reliable and folks believe you to be scrupulously honest you never know when a visit to someone’s home may lead to an offer to sleep on the couch or to toss your sleeping bag on the floor of a spare bedroom.
